Waste/Wastage Policy
Sometimes there are cakes or savouries which need to be binned at the end of the day as they are past their sell-by date or have been damaged in some way.
It's important that we keep track of wastage especially as it will help us with stock control - how much to put out each day, how much to defrost etc.
In order to track wastage, please complete the Wastage reporting form on the day that items are binned. It's a simple form to complete on Blink and it provides us with the information we need.
Please also give some thought as to what could be done differently to avoid this wastage on other days eg defrost less, take less from stock, delete some items from future orders etc. It is important that you look for ways to manage this as wastage can very quickly mean that any profit is lost from what we sell.
